QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

REPORTS TO: Head Start - Preschool Director / Lead Teacher  

 

SUPERVISES:       Not Applicable

 

JOB GOAL: To work closely, under the supervision of the teacher, to ensure a maximum positive input on the instructional programs.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Have a physical examination and T.B. skin test.  Physicals paid for by Bourbon County Board of Education at local Health Department.
2. Make instructional materials and aids.
3. Assist lead teacher in all activities.
4. Assist in conducting children to and from lunchroom and help with lunchroom supervision.
5. Run errands and other miscellaneous chores.
6. Record all attendance.
7. Keep lunch records for classroom.
8. Help plan and coordinate center activities.
9. Help keep classroom safe and clean.
10. Will have or work towards a Child Associates Degree after requirements are met.  Must obtain within two years of employment.
11. Shall participate annually in a minimum of 18 hours of professional development.
12. Other duties as assigned by Head Start - Preschool Director or Superintendent.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Salary, benefits and work year to be established by Board approved schedule.

 

EVALUATION:   Performance of this job will be evaluated annually.
