BUS DRIVER- HEAD START/PRESCHOOL

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent and CDL

REPORTS TO: Director Building and Grounds, Maintenance /Transportation, 

Director of Head Start - Preschool

SUPERVISES: Not Applicable

JOB GOAL: To provide safe and efficient transportation.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Under the supervision of the Head Start - Preschool Director.
2. Follow all guidelines for bus rules set by the Bourbon County Board of Education.
3. Required to have a complete physical each year before driving the school bus.
4. Attend all scheduled bus driving training set by the Bourbon County Board of Education.
5. Inspect the school bus and fill out all necessary forms each day.
6. Keep school bus clean on a daily basis.
7. Practice all safety procedures while driving the school bus.
8. Follow the bus routes determined by the program.
9. Complete final walkthrough each time bus is unloaded 
10. Attend annual CDL update/transportation training.
11. Turn in updated route sheets weekly.
12. Radio preschool center when last child on the route is delivered to their destination. 
13. Check mailbox daily for any route changes.
14. Inform parents of time changes in routes prior to the change.
15. Other duties as assigned by the Head Start - Preschool Director or Superintendent.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary, benefits and work year to be established by Board approved schedule. Subject to drug test.

EVALUATION:   Performance of this job will be evaluated annually.
